Katya’s Winter Update

Posted on Monday 4th February, 2013

This winter I finally went to Scotland for my first time. I paddled all the classics there, then went back to Pringle's home. Pringle has been showing me all the places where he grew up kayaking (The river Dee, Tryweryn, HPP, Hurley...). We have even taken a trip down the upper Dart, another English Classic, so now I can say I have really seen the UK!

I've been paddling with VE paddles for the last three years now, and surprisingly despite hard use, I have not broken them yet!

My favourite thing about them is that they are so LIGHT! I paddle with the straight shaft full carbon for both creeking & freestyle, I find it perfect for both. They have just the right amount of power and being able to get any angle, I went for having almost flat feather, just how I like it.

Pringle used two sets of VE's for whole season Video Kayaking before he gave them to me, I have used them ever since, this the longest a set of paddles have ever survived! This year Stu sent me a new set of paddles, old ones have no faults still, but I wanted a new shiney pair, they look amazing!
